I don't know much yet, but Utah County's 93.7 is up with a hot AC format called Sky FM.
I'm looking for a website or any more info. Please fill us in. I've not had a chance to listen yet, either.
Thanks.

Hmm. I know of a sky.fm webstream, but nothing about this. I'd watch Mid-Utah's website, since I believe they still own the station. (This is what used to be KLGL further south.) midutahradio.com/It's coming in pretty clearly in southern Davis County.

Listened a bit. From around American Fork, the signal is spotty at best. I was a little surprised, it being from these parts... The music was good, processing sounded alright. They do the 99.5/97.9 song-tagging bit. I've not heard any talk or commercials yet. I heard some very basic imaging, no jingles or high production value stuff. My wife, who likes the poppy stuff hasn't been impressed with the music. But again, not a ton of time listening yet.

Listening while I was driving around, it's definitely hit and miss. I don't know if the booster is on and that could make a difference. As I recall the location, power and height were roughly comparable to KUDE and KUDE puts up a good fight almost to Ogden when KGNT starts to take over.

I was looking at radio-locator today. It looks like KUDE 103.9 and KUTC 93.7 are both similarly located and at about the same height but KUDE has almost twice the ERP, 74KW, where KUTC is at 48KW. It was mentioned here that these two stations should be about the same. But this is clearly why my reception in American Fork/Lehi is not nearly as strong as KUDE is. KUDE is very strong, even into the SL Valley, where KUTC disappears at the point.

Remember that double the power doesn't mean double the coverage. Take a look at the projected coverage areas for both stations in Radio Locator. KUTC is projected to get very slightly further than KUDE, but it's hardly noticeable. *But*, KUDE has a booster of 4.25kw from Lake Mountain, which really gets out. KUTC's listed booster is down in Nephi south of the new main site, which isn't going to help them even if it's on the air anymore. I'll bet that what you're hearing from KUDE is the booster and not the main. If I'm Mid Utah radio, I'm filing for a booster for KUTC as soon as I can get clearance to put one in the valley somewhere. Theoretically it shouldn't matter, but real world conditions screw around with coverage areas. That's why boosters were invented.

I didn't notice KUDE's booster.. I'm right under Lake Mtn, basically so that makes sense, same reason KUDE gets so strong into SL valley as well. It's not until 106th/90th when I want to switch over to 107.9, and even further sometimes...
I think most of the farnsworth peak stations need a lake mtn booster since most of those giants get weak around south orem/north provo...
But I digress.

I can get KUDE fine until I get up to around the Davis/Weber border and KGNT takes over. That's well into KUDD's territory (for now) though.
The problem with the Farnsworth station around Provo I suspect is due to shadowing from the mountains to the west. There might be an issue with putting a booster there because of the mix of signals in areas that aren't shadowed. If you aren't very very careful it could make the frequency unlistenable over a wide area. It's a tricky engineering problem.
